Gilad Shalit C.V

Gilad Shalit C.V

Address: Unknown.Somewhere in Gaza?! Telephone: +972-3-6975000
Email: let.gilad.go@gmail.com Year of Birth: 1986
My Blog: http://letgiladgo.blogspot.com

Background:
I was born in Nahariya, Israel and am the brother of Yoel and Hadass. At the age of two I moved with my family to live in the Western Galilee area of Israel.

Education:
I attended Miuna Elementary School, and the middle school in Kfar Vradim. I studied at Manor-Kivri High School, graduating with honors with a concentration in science.

Military Service:
In April of 2008 I was promoted to the rank of First Sergeant. All of my friends have already been discharged, but I am still waiting.

Higher Education:
I could have studied Computer Science and Business Management at Tel Aviv University, Bar Ilan, or any other university, and surely would have graduated Cum Laude. I could have taken a course in computers or something like that – maybe a little Java, some Dot.net, and Proxy.

Work Experience:
After the backpacking trip to India or Nepal (that I could have done), I thought that maybe I could go to work in a start-up company, or maybe for a cellular phone company. I’ve heard that they have excellent benefits – that most of the day they spend sitting on a chair in an air-conditioned room with internet, flipping through the news channels and “tut- tutting” more tiresome news about kidnapped soldiers. Maybe they would also promote me to QA Team Leader, and make monthly contributions to a Retirement, Disability, and Health Insurance Fund. They say that around the north area there are excellent restaurants for business meals that are worthwhile to stop in at to grab a bite.

Really, I would like all of this…..but I can’t right now. I have a Hamas guy next to me that won’t allow it.

Maybe if my impotent country begins to understand that you just can’t send children to fight for the country with empty symbols and promises of the purity of weapons, friends in battle, faithfulness, responsibility and personal example. But the reality is that after the youth is taken prisoner, he is forgotten.

If you now ask yourselves what you can do in order to raise awareness and pressure the public opinion and the Israeli government to return me, I have a few suggestions for you:

• Do you have the address of an employment agency? Very nice! Send them my resume.
• Get to every retail site on the internet and find the “Employees Wanted” section. Send them my resume. I am not picky; I would be happy to do any kind of work.
• Do you surf the news websites? Great! Leave at least one response with the title, “Return Gilad!!”
• Have you read the gossip column about a famous celebrity new car? Terrific! Leave a response on a topic that is a little more important: “Why is Gilad not home?!”
• Do you have a Facebook account? Wonderful!!! Join one of the groups that calls for my release.
• Did you see the TV ratings for “Big Brother”? Or “Survival”? Magical!!! Leave the stations a comment saying, “That’s not interesting!!! Where is Gilad!!!”

The strength is in our hands; we can do it. Even you, the simple citizen, can have an influence.
As soon as you finish reading my resume, send it to your friends. Believe me that it is a little more important than another silly Power Point presentation, joke, or movie clip that you pass along.

Recommendations- All of the Members of My Team / Written Recommendations Upon Request
Regretfully I Cannot Make It To An Interview In Person.
